Islamabad, Jun 15 (Prensa Latina) Afghan President Hamid Karzai said he was against the raids by U.S. drones on the tribal regions in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan supports the position of Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the attacks by U.S. drones, said Karzai in an interview with the private TV network Geo News.
Karzai noted that the bombings are a topic that Islamabad and Washington should discuss bilalterally, but he said he did not agree with them.
More than once Karzai said that since Sharif took office in May, he has proclaimed a revision of the alliance with the United States, and one of its priorities will be to demand that the U.S. government cancel the drones' raids.
In a date that has not been announced yet, Sharif will travel to Kabul to discuss with Karzai topics related to the peace process in Afghanistan, particularly Pakistan's contribution during and after the withdrawal of the occupation troops.
The topic of the drones will also be discussed during the visit at the end of this month by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry. jg/tac/tgj/asg
